Day Services Manager Responsibilities:
1. Develop day service activities, both in the community and in-house.
a. Attend community activities monthly to provide oversight of activity inclusion and participation.
2. Oversee and support individuals in service to practice daily routines; including but not limited to mealtime, personal hygiene, shopping, therapies, recreation, and medical needs.
3. Provide initial training and ongoing oversight of direct service staff to ensure a quality standard that meets the policies and procedures of Choices Network, Inc.
4. Provide support and intervention with direct service staff and /or consumers, as needed, to handle complaints, settle disputes, negotiate with others, and resolve complaints and conflicts.
5. Work with Community Support Direct Staff to ensure adequate staffing is available to all consumers in each setting.

6. Carry on-call phone to filter day service emergency calls to appropriate CSS
7. Assist in monitoring and maintaining the petty cash fund for the Community Supports
Day Services.
8. Cooperate and provide documentation to HR Director of policy violations and assist with disciplinary process for employees.
9. Compile data, attend and provide input for annual Support Plan meeting for collaboration on development, implementation, and monitoring of individuals’ goals.
a. Development and implementation of risk assessment
b. Development of positive behavior support plan
c. Organize meetings between consumers and support team, when needed
d. Attend Care Gap meetings, as requested
10. Oversee completion of daily Community Supports documentation.
a. Maintain day service calendar for outings
b. Oversee lawn and snow removal contracts
c. Community job list
d. Day area work assignments e. Daily transportation list f. Daily attendance form
11. Verification of Consumer time sheets.
12. Verify the completion of bi-monthly service record, behavior data, and other required documentation is accurate and submitted timely.
13. Review Incident Reports, as needed.
14. Maintain documentation for significant ongoing Consumer issues.

15. Complete monthly budget sheets and route to CSC for review
16. Maintain confidentiality in all regards of the individual’s life.
17. All other duties as negotiated
Necessary skills:
▪ Strong organizational skills.
▪ Ability to work independently while adapting to changing assignments and multiple priorities.
▪ Excellent customer service and communication skills (both spoken and written) required.
▪ Work in team environment to collaborate and cooperate with others within and outside of the organization.
▪ Documented experience with analyzing information and evaluating results to choose the best solution and solve problems.
▪ Experience using computerized documentation systems.
▪ Must be able to work flexible hours to meet individuals and support networks’ needs.
▪ Demonstrated ability to facilitate meetings of team members/support network for individual

Minimum requirement:
▪ Minimum of six months experience in the field of developmental disabilities
▪ Access to reliable, personal transportation.
▪ Maintain required vehicle insurance.
▪ Meet KDADS waiver policy standards for background checks such as KDHE, DCF Child and
Adult Registries for Abuse, Neglect, and Exploitation, KBI criminal history check, and/or
Motor Vehicle Report
