Blue Ridge Beverage Company, Inc., a leading distributor of beer, wine, and non-alcoholic beverages in Central and Southwest Virginia, is looking for a full-time IT Support Specialist to help grow our business.
IT Support Specialists provide software and hardware support, training and troubleshooting related to computer and technical systems.

Duties:*

• Acts as 1st level end user support for the Company, providing technical assistance to those tasked with using the various computer systems.
• Responds to user helpdesk requests for service and determines the nature and extent of support needed. Provides support as needed and directed by the IT Director.
• Responsible for the setup, configuration, and maintenance of all end user devices, including PC’s, tablets, phones, and other handheld devices.
• Coordinates with IT team to create and maintains detailed documentation and standard operating procedures for all end user devices and software.
• Participates in an on-call rotation with other members of the IT Team.
• Provides end user training on IT systems, processes, and procedures on an individual or small group basis as needed.
• Assists in the maintenance of inventories of computer equipment.
• Other duties as assigned.

Minimum Requirements:

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Demonstrated knowledge to configure and deploy computers, printers, storage, and other personal computer related devices.
• Demonstrated successful and positive interpersonal, organizational, administrative, and communication skills.
• Eagerness to learn new technology and business systems.
• Availability to travel to other Company locations, up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications:*

• Associate’s degree in computer science, information technology or related field or equivalent via education and/or work experience preferred.
• 1 year of related experience.
• Proficiency with Microsoft 365 tools, and network and security tools.
• Demonstrated successful working relationships with clients, suppliers, and other internal and external contacts.
• Demonstrated continuous improvement in areas of responsibility.

The following list of physical requirements are required to perform the entire job: standing; walking; sitting; stooping; fine finger and hand manipulation; speaking clearly; hearing so as to be able to maintain conversation; seeing so as to be able to read and to drive a vehicle; able to regularly lift and/or move up to 25 pounds, frequently lift and/or move more than 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds.
