As we continue to grow, we are seeking a detail-oriented and motivated Entry Level Accountant to join our team, focusing on inventory management.
Job Description:
As an Entry Level Accountant specializing in inventory management, you will play a crucial role in ensuring accurate recording, tracking, and reporting of inventory-related transactions within our manufacturing operations. You will collaborate closely with various departments, including procurement, production, and finance, to maintain precise inventory records and support strategic decision-making processes.
Key Responsibilities:
Inventory Monitoring and Control:
  • Maintain accurate records of inventory levels, including raw materials, work-in-progress, and finished goods.
  • Conduct regular physical inventory counts and reconcile discrepancies between physical counts and recorded inventory.
  • Implement inventory control procedures to minimize losses, damages, and obsolete inventory.
Inventory Valuation and Reporting:
  • Prepare inventory-related financial reports, including inventory balances, cost of goods sold (COGS), and inventory turnover ratios.
  • Analyze inventory data to identify trends, variances, and opportunities for improvement.
Process Improvement:
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to streamline inventory management processes and enhance efficiency.
  • Recommend and implement improvements to inventory control systems, procedures, and policies.
  • Identify and address root causes of inventory discrepancies to prevent recurrence.
Compliance and Audit Support:
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and internal controls related to inventory management.
  • Assist in internal and external audits by providing accurate inventory records and supporting documentation.
  • Implement corrective actions based on audit findings to strengthen inventory management practices.
Communication and Collaboration:
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders across departments to coordinate inventory activities and resolve issues promptly.
  • Work closely with purchasing and production teams to forecast inventory needs and optimize inventory levels.
  • Collaborate with the finance team to incorporate inventory data into financial planning and budgeting processes.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field.
  • Strong understanding of accounting principles and inventory management concepts.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and familiarity with inventory management software (e.g., ERP systems).
  • Excellent analytical skills with keen attention to detail.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
  • 0-3 years experience
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
