Job DescriptionWe're seeking a skilled technician to join our team, with shift hours from 6:00 am to approximately 2:30 pm. In this role, you'll be responsible for a range of tasks including dismantling, rebuilding, adjusting, cleaning, inspecting, repairing, and painting equipment. You'll also assemble and adapt equipment for demonstration and development tests, ensuring all electrical hookups are properly configured. Operating various machinery for tests, maintaining equipment and facilities, and interpreting blueprints are key components of this role.
Responsibilities
  • Dismantle, rebuild, and adjust machinery using hand and power tools as needed.
  • Fit and lay out mating parts, locating and marking them for additional machining as required.
  • Replace defective or worn parts and reassemble machinery to specifications.
  • Adjust control devices to ensure proper clearance and timing.
  • Operate, clean, and maintain primary and auxiliary machinery according to instructions.
  • Set up and prepare equipment, establishing rates as instructed.
  • Conduct tests on machinery, recording data accurately.
  • Evaluate sample materials as directed.
  • Modify components for tests to ensure successful demonstrations.
Qualifications
  • Completion of accredited apprenticeship training or three years of technical training beyond high school.
  • Three of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
  • Proficiency in operating general shop machinery to support customer requirements.
  • Familiarity with hand tools, power tools, and precision measuring instruments.
  • Ability to read and interpret a variety of blueprints and schematics, including hydraulic blueprints.
  • Basic understanding of hydraulics, pneumatics, and/or pipe fitting.
