Summary:

The Network Admin II’s role is to ensure the stability, integrity, and efficient operation of the information System. This is achieved by monitoring, maintaining, supporting, and optimizing all networked software and associated operating System. The Network Admin II will apply proven communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills to help identify, communicate, and resolve issues to maximize the benefit of IT System investments.

The Network Admin II demonstrates excellent customer service performance in that his/her attitude and action are at all time consistent with the standards contained in the Vision, Mission and Values of Covenant and the commitment to Extraordinary Care for Every Generation.

Responsibilities:

Architect Responsibilities

· Work with executive team members, decision makers, and stakeholders to define business requirements and System goals for new projects

· Work with vendors to determine design and deploy new applications and enhancements to existing applications, software, and operating System.

· Conduct research on software and System products to justify recommendations and to support purchasing efforts.

· Interact and negotiate with vendors, outsourcers, and contractors to secure system-related products and services.

Operations Responsibilities

· Gauge the effectiveness and efficiency of existing System; develop and implement strategies for improving or further leveraging these System.

· Design and perform server and security audits, system backup procedures, and other recovery processes in accordance with the company’s disaster recovery and business continuity strategies.

· Ensure system connectivity of all servers, shared software, and other applications.

· Create and maintain documentation as it relates to system configuration, processes, and service records.

· Coordinate and perform in-depth tests, including end-user reviews, for modified and new System.

· Monitor and test system performance; prepare and deliver system performance statistics and reports.

Other information:

Education/Experience Requirements

Associates degree (required), Bachelor’s degree (preferred) or commensurate experience. Certification required and/or be willing to pursue industry certification (multiple preferred). Example include: Microsoft (MCSE, MCSA); Cisco UCS/Networking (CCNA, CCNP); VMWare (VCP, VCAP); Citrix (CCA, CCP); Red Hat (RHCSA, RHCE); Epic (CSM, ODBA).

· VMWare ESXi Administration

· Resolve technical support issues· Create Documentation

· Familiarity with modern operating System and server platforms

· Maintaining server architecture security and creating system backups

· Managing user access· Monitoring system performance

· Understand Networking (Vlans, Subnets, Sniffer usage etc.)

Windows Administrator Specific Responsibilities/Skills

· Windows Server (Building, Troubleshooting, Administering)

· Active Directory Administration

· Citrix Administration

· Office 365 Administration

· Azure Administration

· Power Shell Scripting

· Microsoft SQL (Installing, Basic Setup)

Database Administrator Specific Responsibilities/Skills

· Cache/Iris Administration

· Microsoft SQL (Installing, Troubleshooting, Administering)

· Linux Command Line

· Bash Scripting

· Perl Scripting

· Python Scripting

Linux Administrator Specific Responsibilities/Skills

· Red Hat Administration

· Linux Command Line

· LVM Disk Manager

· Cache/Iris Administration

· Bash Scripting

· Perl Scripting

· Python Scripting

WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Ability to maintain regular, punctual attendance consistent with the ADA, FMLA and other federal, state and local standards.

Constant talking and hearing.

Frequent siting and using near vision.

Occasionally lifting 10-100 lbs.

Occasionally standing, walking, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, crouching, squatting, crawling, twisting and reaching.
