Capio Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager!
Full-time employee - Remote
Salary: $120,000 - $135,000

Capio Group is looking for an experienced Project Manager to work as part of a team to successfully execute project management support services and activities that contribute to the successful development and implementation of a new system to replace the client’s existing legacy system.
The team will be responsible for tasks including but not limited to:

  • Prime Vendor Contract and Technical Project Management
  • General Project Management Support
  • Requirements Management Support 
  • Change Control Management Process 
  • Project Management Plans and Artifacts
  • Prime Vendor Deliverable Review and Tracking 
  • Periodic Lesson Learned Identification and Tracking 
  • Unanticipated Tasks (such as ad hoc reports, briefings, presentations, and analyses.)
Note: Large and Complex IT System development project definition: 
  • At least $20M in total application development project cost.
  • A solution that has at least one hundred (100) internal end users and one hundred thousand (100,000) external users.
  • A solution that provides a secure data exchange interface with multiple external systems.
Mandatory Experience:
  1. Requires a minimum of five (5) years of broad, extensive, and increasingly responsible Project Manager experience applying project management principles, methods, techniques, and tools. At least three (3) years of that experience must have been in a lead capacity.
  2. Must possess a bachelor degree. Additional qualifying experience may be substituted for the required education on a year-for- year basis. A copy of the diploma must be provided upon request
  3. Must possess a valid Project Management Professional (PMP) certification from the Project Management Institute (PMI). PMP certification is required and may not be substituted with additional experience. A copy of the certificate must be provided upon request.
  4. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience leading and managing various project team sizes on large and complex IT system development projects.
  5. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience with either agile or hybrid agile software development processes used to develop or implement an automated solution.
  6. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience developing and/or facilitating review and approval of project management plans and deliverables for large and complex IT system development projects for government agencies.
  7. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience facilitating change control management processes in large and complex IT system implementations for government agencies.
  8. Within the last ten (10) years, must have a minimum of two (2) years of experience assisting with converting and migrating legacy data on a large and complex IT system project.
  9. Must provide two (2) references for Project Management Support services projects from within the last 10 years.
Desirable Experience:
  1. Experience developing and maintaining a management “dashboard” using metrics encompassing cost, schedule, quality, risks, and issues to highlight items needing management attention.
  2. Experience monitoring prime vendor planned vs. actual activities, tracking and performing quality reviews of vendor deliverables, and reporting on vendor contract compliance and performance.
  3. Experience facilitating lessons learned and managing the resulting process improvements.
