EQUIPMENT MANAGER
CENTRAL TEXAS VETERINARY SPECIALTY & EMERGENCY HOSPITALS

EQUIPMENT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Oversee the procurement, maintenance, and inventory management of all medical equipment within the hospital. 
  • Develop and implement equipment maintenance schedules and ensure compliance with regulatory standards. 
  • Coordinate with various departments to assess equipment needs and recommend new purchases or replacements. 
  • Train and supervise staff on proper equipment usage and maintenance procedures. 
  • Manage vendor relationships and negotiate contracts for equipment purchases and maintenance services. 
  • Maintain accurate records of equipment inventory, maintenance history, and service contracts. 
  • Troubleshoot equipment issues and coordinate repairs as needed. 
  • Stay updated on industry trends and technological advancements in medical equipment.
  • The Equipment Manager will be responsible for all South Austin & Round Rock hospital equipment.

ENVIRONMENTAL REQUIREMENTS:
Environmental conditions may vary depending on the assigned work area and tasks. Environmental exposures include but are not limited to: blood-borne pathogen exposure, biohazardous waste chemicals/gases/fumes/vapors, communicable diseases, and electrical shock. Various floor surfaces that can be slick, hard, or non-padded, hot/cold temperatures, indoor/outdoor conditions, latex, lighting, patient care/handling injuries, radiation, high levels of noise, shift work, and use of personal protective equipment.
