Actia is Hiring a Manufacturing Operator Near Romulus, MI

ACTIA Electronics, an electronics manufacturing Supply Chain Solutions Company, is a successful and growing organization that is expanding at a very fast pace both domestically and internationally. We are a key link in supply chains worldwide, with a broad and diverse range of services from simple printed circuit board (PCB) assemblies to product engineering, testing and development.
We are currently looking for a Manufacturing Operator to join our team in Romulus, MI. This position will cover multiple production areas including Kan-Ban, SMT and Assembly Cell.
Job Duties / Responsibilities: operate the machine, which includes understanding the sequence of events, the control panel and indicators, and understand how to replenish supplies and components per Standard Operating Procedures
  • Set-up of the machine, machine adjustments and ability to perform feeder loading and changing per the manufacturing instructions and Standard Operating Procedures
  • General machine cleaning and upkeep per the Standard Operating Procedures
  • Produces components by assembling parts and subassemblies.
  • Prepares work to be accomplished by studying assembly instructions, blueprint specifications, and parts lists; gathering parts, subassemblies, tools, and materials.
  • Positions parts and subassemblies by using templates or reading measurements.
  • Assembles components by examining connections for correct fit; fastening parts and subassemblies.
  • Verifies specifications by measuring completed component.
  • Resolves assembly problems by altering dimensions to meet specifications; notifying supervisor to obtain additional resources.
  • Maintains safe and clean working environment by complying with procedures, rules, and regulations.
  • Maintains supplies inventory by checking stock to determine inventory level; anticipating needed supplies; placing and expediting orders for supplies; verifying receipt of supplies.
  • Conserves resources by using equipment and supplies as needed to accomplish job results.
  • Documents actions by completing production and quality forms.
  • Contributes to team effort by accomplishing related results as needed.
  • Support Quality and Environmental Objects
  • Other duties as assigned.
Position Qualifications
  • Procedures for handling and storing moisture sensitive devices (MSDs)
  • ESD requirements for the manufacturing area
  • General Instructions for handling and processing PCB's
  • Production output per customer requirements
  • Component identification
  • Understand safety and personal protection equipment (PPE) requirements of the area
  • Basic understanding of non-conforming materials (NCM)
Language SkillsAbility to read, speak, write and understand English. Be able to interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, drawings and specification sheets, and procedure manuals.
Reasoning AbilityAbility to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of variables in situations. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
