About Central Missouri Foster Care & Adoption Association (CMFCAA)Join a dynamic and compassionate team at CMFCAA, a non-profit organization committed to empowering foster, adoptive, and kinship children, youth, and families in central Missouri. Founded in 2007 by former foster and adoptive parents, CMFCAA has evolved into a crucial community resource, providing a wide range of services and advocacy throughout a 21-county region.
Position SummaryAs the Chief Administrative Officer (CAO) at CMFCAA, you will play a vital role as a strategic partner to our Executive Director. Your responsibilities will involve overseeing internal business operations and personnel management for our four locations. Working closely with the senior executive team, you will drive organizational effectiveness by implementing streamlined processes and ensuring adherence to policies and objectives.
Responsibilities
  • Direct and coordinate organizational activities to support established goals and objectives.
  • Supervise key departments, including Facilities, Human Resources, and Administrative teams.
  • Develop and implement efficient operational processes to optimize business functions.
  • Collaborate with senior executives to implement initiatives and programs aligned with organizational goals.
  • Ensure compliance with regulatory requirements and efficiently manage contracts.
Required Qualifications
  • Master's degree in Business, Management, Human Resources, or a related field.
  • Minimum of 5 years of supervisory experience.
  • Proven track record of leading cross-functional teams and projects.
  • Strong communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Proficiency in technology and software systems such as MS Office and HRIS.
  • Effective negotiation and contract management skills.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and possess a valid driver's license with current auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications
  • SHRM CP or SCP certification.
  • Understanding of non-profit operations.
  • Familiarity with the adoptive/foster care system.
