We are currently seeking a Controls Engineer to design, program, troubleshoot, implement, and test the electrical control systems for automated packaging machinery. The position will also require travel (up to 25%) to customer locations to oversee installation, provide service, and commissioning of the machines as well as provide in-house and on-site technical training for other employees and customers.

  • Bachelor of Science degree, Technical School degree, or equivalent proven work experience in control software design and implementation. Packaging machinery control software design experience is a plus.
  • Minimum 5 years of automation controls and programming experience
  • Proficient in SolidWorks or AutoCAD electrical design software
  • PLC programming experience preferably Rockwell, Siemens, and Omron.
  • Working knowledge of machine control & data acquisition systems including I/O hardware, signal conditioning, field devices & sensors
  • Ability to work on a cross-functional team including sales, marketing, engineering, and field services
  • Position requires the ability to effectively communicate both orally and in written form
