Cornerstone-Director of Clinical Services

The Director of Clinical Services is responsible for all aspects of Cornerstone Montgomery's Outpatient Mental Health Clinic operations. Provides input to and/or direction of policy and procedure formulation, resource allocation, planning, program development, program evaluation and quality assurance; responsibility for planning, provisions, arrangement and/or direction of clinic staff training; and responsibility for conformity to applicable laws, regulations and policies. Position involves representation of Cornerstone Montgomery on boards, committees and panels dealing with issues affecting the agency.

Responsibilities of the Director of Clinical Services

· Directs the non-medical clinical activities of Cornerstone’s Outpatient Mental Health Clinics.

· Supervises clinical and, at times, administrative personnel, to include onboarding and engagement activities and directing professional development.

· Significantly involved in operations management: daily operations, program development, collaborating with fellow program directors to operate in partnership with other departments and programs within the agency.

· Works closely with Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director to ensure coordinated delivery of high quality clinical services and achieving productivity targets.

· Accountable to the fiscal responsibility of the clinics, including budgeting, productivity and programmatic growth, in conjunction with the Chief Medical Officer or Medical Director.

· Has responsibility for planning, provisions, arrangement and/or direction of clinic staff training; and responsibility for conformity to applicable laws, regulations and policies.

· Represents Cornerstone at meetings of mental health care providers and at meetings with State and County agencies.

· Meets as necessary with clients, family members, and treatment teams.

· Performs other duties as assigned.

Qualifications of the Director of Clinical Services:

Master’s degree in social work or a related field.

Fully licensed in his/her mental health profession. (LCSW/LCPC/LMSW/LGCP) Six (6) years of relevant work experience, including three (3) years of supervisory experience.

Experience in Evidenced Based Practices and substance abuse is preferred.
