OUT Maine is Hiring an Administrative Coordinator Near Rockland, ME

OUT Maine is currently seeking an enthusiastic and detail-oriented Administrative Coordinator to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for a diverse range of administrative and clerical tasks, providing vital support to our team including the Executive Director and Associate Director, managing daily office operations, maintaining records, and overseeing our volunteer program.

Through advocacy, education, and community engagement, we work tirelessly to create a more inclusive and welcoming society where every young person can thrive regardless of their intersecting identities.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or equivalent plus either administrative training or one to two years of experience.
  • Experience and/or interest in working to help LGBTQIA2S youth thrive is required.
  • Computer experience using Mac operating systems, Microsoft Office, Google Suite, and other

software applications.

  • Volunteer management experience is a plus.
  • Ability to manage multiple concurrent tasks.
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with all constituencies, including youth, family members, co-workers, and professionals supporting LGBTQIA2S youth and the community at large.
  • Good communication skills, including oral and written.
  • Good judgment, decision-making, and problem-solving skills.
  • Time management, organization, and prioritization skills.
  • Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
  • Ability to work independently, as part of a team, and with multiple partners.

This full-time position is based in Rockland, Maine, with hybrid remote options. Some statewide travel may be required on occasion. Evening and weekend hours may be required for special events that are scheduled in advance. The candidate must successfully pass criminal background, child protective services, and sex offender checks. The candidate must also have a good driving record and be able to lift boxes up to 50 lbs.

Salary ranges from $42,000 to $47,000, depending on experience. Three weeks of paid vacation and two weeks of sick leave, 14 paid holidays, 100% employer-paid employee-only health insurance, employer-paid short-term disability insurance, and retirement contribution. Dental insurance is available as a payroll deduction.
