A day in the life of a Collector

Working out of our Rockland headquarters, the Collector works with our members to obtain payments or make payment arrangements on delinquent accounts. You will be in a busy call-center environment requiring the ability to pivot from one transaction to another. At RFCU we pride ourselves in setting you up for success with on-the-job training and an introductory period for plenty of feedback and coaching.

Skills & Requirements

The Collector position requires a high school diploma or equivalent and prior customer/member service experience, preferably within a call center environment or financial services industry. Previous collections experience is strongly preferred. The ability to work with accuracy and attention to detail while making independent decisions is also important. You should have proficient PC skill including Microsoft Office, Word & Excel. The ability to learn collections laws and regulations is also required.

Work Schedule and Benefits

As a Collector, you will work a full-time, 40-hour per week schedule to include occasional Saturdays.
