Description
We are in search of a Telecommunications Specialist to join our team in Rochester, New York. This role will be focused on the telecommunications industry, particularly dealing with wireless broadband, coax cable, and GIS - Graphic Information Systems. This position offers a long term contract-to-hire opportunity.
Responsibilities:
Develop and implement telecommunications systems by evaluating customer needs and system requirements.
Manage Avaya CMS, Crystal Reports, and Microsoft Access and Excel.
Stay updated with latest developments in the telecommunications industry, particularly wireless broadband, coax cable, and GIS - Graphic Information System.
Evaluate systems hardware and software requirements and capabilities and make recommendations.
Troubleshoot telecommunications issues and implement appropriate solutions.
Conduct network system audits and monitor network to ensure network availability to all system users.
Collaborate with other team members to understand and meet the telecommunications needs of the organization.
Ensure the security of the telecommunications systems by implementing and maintaining security policies.
Train users on the use of telecommunications systems and provide technical assistance when necessary.
Perform regular maintenance and upgrades on telecommunications systems to ensure optimal performance.
Requirements
Proficient in Wireless Broadband technology and its applications
Experience with Coax Cable setup, maintenance, and troubleshooting
Knowledge of GIS - Graphic Information System and its uses in telecommunications
Ability to work in a team and collaborate effectively with diverse team members
Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to troubleshoot technical issues
Strong communication skills to explain complex information in a clear and simple manner
Familiarity with telecommunications systems, protocols, and standards
Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
Willingness to stay updated with the latest advancements in telecommunications technology
Relevant certification or degree in Telecommunications or a related field would be advantageous.
