JOB DESCRIPTION

The Maintenance Technician 3 will be responsible for performing routine tasks in all facility areas. Working under the direction of the Maintenance Supervisor, you will provide safe and effective construction, installation, storage, and use of facility equipment and infrastructure including racks, lights, fans, lifts, HVAC, floor cleaners, etc. Pending inclement weather, you may be asked to help out with tasks including but not limited to sanding, shoveling, plowing, and general snow removal procedures.

RESPONSIBILITIES

• Lead and train maintenance technicians
• Improving and maintaining facility infrastructure
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor to create and implement SOPs, including a comprehensive maintenance program for all machinery and equipment in the facility
• Conduct regular maintenance and inspections of all equipment and machinery
• Proper delegation of tasks
• Safe operation of equipment including lifts, floor cleaners, etc.
• Cleaning, hauling, shipping and receiving, and other manual labor
• Fill out detailed logs and forms for machinery processes and maintenance.
• Advise Maintenance Supervisor by supplying employee performance management data
• Liaise with department heads to schedule routine maintenance and repairs to facility equipment and infrastructure. This includes but is not limited to racks, lights, fans, lifts, HVAC, floor cleaners
• Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and malfunctions, ensuring proper action is taken in a timely manner to avoid production downtime
• Work with the Maintenance Supervisor to contract and oversee maintenance and repairs by 3rd party vendors/contractors
• Maintain inventory of tools, machinery, equipment, and parts and supplies
• Collaborate with Maintenance Supervisor to schedule maintenance of grounds, including sanding, shoveling, plowing, and grass mowing

QUALIFICATIONS

• At least two years of experience in Maintenance Tech 1 and 2 roles
• Supervisory experience preferred
• Previous experience as a Maintenance Tech, with experience in mechanical, HVAC, and electrical maintenance
• Ability to cultivate and develop the talents and skills of the other team members for their professional growth
• Knowledge of and ability to follow internal safety guidelines and procedures, OSHA regulations with regards to safety and documentation, including but not limited to Hazard Communication, Lockout/Tagout, PPE, Machine Guarding, and Electrical Safety
• Available to respond to after hours emergencies when needed
• Stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as consistently lift 10-20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
• Work seated and standing for extended periods of time on concrete floors, maintaining body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and using your hands to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch to complete tasks
• Have a high attention to detail and ability to focus on complex & sensitive processes.
• Strong communication skills, with ability to collaborate with multiple departments and external vendors to ensure continuous operations
• Communicate with peers and management clearly, with kindness and respect
