Vangarden Cannabis is Hiring an Inventory Control Agent Near Rochdale, MA

JOB DESCRIPTION Under the direction of the Materials Manager, the Inventory Control Agent will be responsible for performing routine tasks in all cannabis inventory areas after formal training on department-specific operating procedures. The Inventory Control Agent will be assigned inventory tracking tasks according to standard operating procedures and protocols.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Implement inventory control procedures, such as FIFO (First In, First Out), to ensure product freshness, minimize waste, and prevent stock outs or overstocking.
  • Conduct regular inventory audits to verify physical inventory matches the recorded inventory, identify discrepancies, and investigate root causes
  • Collaborate with procurement, production, and sales teams to ensure inventory accuracy, coordinate stock replenishment, and address any inventory-related issues or needs
  • Maintaining the highest standards of safety, hygiene & safe food handling practices by complying with internal policies and industry regulations
  • Safely and precisely operating automated machinery
  • Keeping accurate records and conducting quality checks during packaging processes
  • Reporting issues in a timely manner and safely performing minor equipment repairs or adjustments, as needed
  • Continuously clean, sanitize, and organize work areas and equipment
  • Collaborating with other departments to complete wholesale orders on time
  • Fill out detailed logs and forms for machinery processes and maintenance

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to become proficient in inventory management software
  • Have a high attention to detail and ability to focus on complex & sensitive processes
  • Stand for long periods of time, walk, reach with hands and arms, as well as consistently lift 10-20 lbs and occasionally lift up to 50 lbs
  • Work seated and standing for extended periods of time on concrete floors, maintaining body equilibrium while climbing ladders, stairways, stooping, kneeling, crouching, and reaching, and using your hands to hold, grasp, turn, pick, and pinch to complete tasks
  • Communicate with peers and management clearly, with kindness and respect
  • Ability to follow applicable compliance and safety protocols and regulations
