Job Summary:

The Senior Accountant will be an accounting professional, have strong analytical skills, support accounting functions, lead/assist in special projects, collaborate with departments and business stakeholders to facilitate partnerships and foster relationships. This role will require a desire to learn and grow with the organization seeking continual learning.

Supervisory Responsibilities:

• None.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Lead the Accounts Receivable functions with support from the Accounting Associate, ensuring invoicing is timely and accurate.
• Lead the input of Accounts Payable ensuring invoices have been entered in a timely manner.
• Assist Controller/CFO with cash forecasting items.
• Assists with Month-End close task.
• Assist with Builder Lien releases.
• Assist with scanning and depositing checks.
• Provide regular and ad hoc reporting to Controller and/or CFO where necessary.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Skills/Abilities:

• Strong Business acumen required.
• Above average analytical skills required.
• Must be proficient in Microsoft Office Suite with exceptional Excel skills.
• Ability to communicate effectively at all levels in the organization.
• Must be able to learn other accounting software systems.
• Ability to develop and foster relationships within the organization.
• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to maintain confidential and meticulous records.
• Experience in NetSuite preferred.

Education and Experience:

• Bachelor Degree in Business Administration, Accounting or related field.
• 5 years or more of experience working in a functional accounting role.
• 3 years or more of experience working in manufacturing or construction environment.

Physical Requirements:

• Prolonged periods sitting at a desk and working on a computer.
• Ability to lift 15lbs.
