Job Summary:

We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Medical Assistant to join our team, specializing in home sample collection. The ideal candidate will have 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with proficiency in phlebotomy and specimen handling. This role involves traveling to patients' homes, collecting various medical samples, and ensuring their safe and timely transport back to the clinic for analysis.

Key Responsibilities:

- Travel to patients' homes to collect blood, urine, and other medical specimens as required.

- Ensure proper identification, labelling, and documentation of all collected samples.

- Maintain strict adherence to infection control and safety procedures during sample collection and transportation.

- Provide patients with clear instructions and support to ensure accurate sample collection.

- Safely transport collected samples to the clinic or designated laboratory within specified time frames.

- Maintain accurate records of sample collections and transportation logs.

- Communicate effectively with patients, caregivers, and clinic staff to coordinate appointments and address any concerns.

- Ensure all equipment and supplies are adequately stocked and maintained.

- Assist with other clinical tasks as needed, including patient intake, vital sign measurements, and administrative duties.

Qualifications:

- High school diploma or equivalent; completion of a Medical Assistant program preferred.

- Certification as a Medical Assistant (CMA, RMA) is preferred.

- 1-2 years of experience in a clinical setting, with hands-on experience in phlebotomy and specimen handling.

- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

- Ability to work independently and manage time effectively.

- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

- Knowledge of medical terminology and electronic health records (EHR) systems.

Physical Requirements:

- Ability to lift and carry sample collection kits and equipment.

- Ability to travel frequently and work flexible hours.

- Ability to perform repetitive tasks, including standing, walking, and bending for extended periods.
