Job Overview:
We are currently seeking a detail-oriented Receiving Clerk to join our team. The Receiving Clerk will be responsible for managing incoming shipments, verifying contents, and ensuring accurate receipt of materials.
Responsibilities:
- Receive and inspect all incoming materials and compare information on packing slips with purchase orders
- Verify accuracy of shipments and ensure items are in good condition
- Unload trucks, process paperwork, and route materials to appropriate departments
- Utilize equipment such as forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks to move materials
- Maintain accurate records of received goods in the system (e.g., AS400 or MRP)
- Assist in picking, packing, and preparing outgoing orders as needed
- Collaborate with other team members to maintain a clean and organized work environment
Qualifications:
- Previous experience working in a distribution center or warehouse setting
- Proficiency in using forklifts, pallet jacks, and reach trucks
- Ability to perform basic math calculations for inventory purposes
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Capability to load and unload materials safely and efficiently
