Description:
Prepares and analyzes the Company’s financial records
Compiles financial statements, review data and ensure financial compliance
Responsible for executing a variety of financial procedures, including month-end and year-end closings, review of accounts payable and receivable, assist with audit and tax returns, bank reconciliations, general ledger reviews, forecasting and budgeting.
Analyze corporate financial operations to ensure the business is running efficiently.
Ensures the integrity of accounting information by recording, verifying, consolidating, and entering transactions.
Prepares and records asset, liability, capital accounts, revenue, and expenses entries by compiling and analyzing account information.
Maintains and balances subsidiary accounts by verifying, allocating, posting, and reconciling transactions and resolving discrepancies.
Maintains general ledger by transferring subsidiary accounts, preparing a trial balance, and reconciling entries.
Summarizes financial status by collecting information and preparing balance sheet, profit and loss, and other statements for upper management.
Completes external audit by analyzing and scheduling general ledger accounts and providing information for auditors.
Avoids legal challenges by complying with legal requirements.
Protects organization’s value by keeping information confidential.
Create a Standard Operating Procedure (SOP) manual for accounting policy and regulations, and roll out reconciliation procedures
Prepare financial statements and analysis
Supervise accounting department, junior employees, and accounting assistants
Comply with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) for financial statements
Record financial information for analysis
Assist the assistant controller or controller in preparing documents and interpreting complicated financial information for managers and executives
Forecast and plan for future needs
Maintain account balances and bank statements
Manage general ledger and assist month-end and year-end close processes
Ensure compliance with all internal processes
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, business, or related field
5 years previous experience as an accountant or junior accountant
1 year working within a complex ERP system and experienced in Microsoft Suites
Exceptional knowledge of finance, accounting, budgeting, cost accounting and cost control principles and Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
Advanced knowledge of bookkeeping and accounting best practices, laws, standards, and state/national regulations
Able to analyze financial records and interpret for other departments
