Job Description *Contingent upon contract award* Location Rio Grande, TX The Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is responsible for providing nursing assistant services for on-site clinic units or for performing medical record reviews. Duties and Responsibilities: Provides nursing assistant services within the CNA scope of practice to preserve the health and wellness of examinees and/or patients. Opportunity to travel and assist on medical mobile events. Records and maintains patient information in accordance with standard protocols, and the Privacy Act. Thoroughly exercises skill in initiative, judgment, problem-solving and decision-making daily. Makes independent judgments and prioritizes workload. Demonstrates proven success in working within stressful environments. Complies with all applicable Acuity standards and guidelines. Responsible for medical record review and case management for medical exam and screening programs. The CNA works directly with medical providers and examinees to ensure all medical information is gathered. Performs medical Quality Assurance on all charts. Communicates with Clients as well as the on-site medical providers. Able to work with the various software programs specific to the functioning of the exam program. Works closely with other departments to provide accurate and quality outcomes. Consistently learns and applies codified state and federal regulations specific to particular contract(s). Other duties and projects as assigned. Qualifications Graduated from an accredited Nursing Assistant school. Must hold a current unrestricted CNA. 2 years of clinical nursing experience as a CNA. Have an active Basic Life Support (BLS) certification. Experience with electronic medical records (EMR). Proficiency in the use of basic Microsoft programs. Must possess a current U.S P Ability to pass a background check. Preferred Qualifications 5 years of clinical CNA experience. Proficiency in the use of Data Management Systems. Experience in administering vaccines Physical Requirements and Working Conditions Work is normally performed in a typical interior/office work environment.
