BASIC FUNCTION: Provides day to day care and supervision of Medical Assistants in a clinical setting at our main hospital campus. The Medical Assistant provides direct professional medical care to patients and also serves as a leader and professional role model to department members at all times.
RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Works in collaboration with the clinic manager, assisting with onboarding new MA staff as well as ongoing education to all MA staff identifying needs and recommend training.
• Involved with quality initiatives and process changes ensuring MA staff understand and are able to accurately collect data.
• Assists with the Vaccines for Children (VFC) program.
• Tracks sample medications.
• Works in all provider pods as staffing needs dictate.
• Attends meetings as necessary
• Completes various special projects as assigned.
• Monitors delivery of patient services for effectiveness, efficiency and clinical excellence.
• Medical Assistant duties include, but are not limited to, assisting in all aspects of medical practice under the direction of a physician, interviewing patients, measuring vital signs, drawing and collecting blood samples from patients, administering patient immunizations, recording or inputting information to patients' medical records, and other general patient care activities.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

SALARY INFORMATION:

• $18.50 - $27.72 Dependent on experience may vary outside this range
• Additional $2.00 - $4.00 an hour for additional weekend and night shifts
• Compensation may vary outside this range depending on a number of factors, including a candidate's qualifications, skills, competencies and experience
