BASIC FUNCTION: Assesses needs, incorporates plans and provides direct patient care for patients in the Grand River Health Clinic settings. This position is in our Second Floor Clinic.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Examines patients, performs comprehensive physical examinations and compiles and documents patient medical data including health history, progress notes and results of examinations and treatment plans.
• Takes actions to ensure proper illness and injury care, disease prevention, diagnosis, treatment, and recovery.
• May prescribe medications and order diagnostic tests.
• Advises patients about continuing care.
• Works in collaboration with Physicians and other interdisciplinary members of care teams.
• Orders, interprets and records results of a variety of clinical tests and reports results to other Providers and departments as needed. Conducts patient education.
• Prescribes medications and makes recommendations for other therapeutic forms of treatment.
• In addition to clinical duties, participates in quality assurance planning, initiatives and improvement projects.
• Attends various meetings and serves on committees as assigned.
• Relies on extensive experience and judgment to plan and accomplish goals.
• Functions under the direction of assigned supervising Physician.
• Performs a variety of tasks and other duties as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS:

• Requires active Colorado licensure as a Certified Registered Nurse Practitioner in area of specialty based on licensure and Colorado authority for advanced practice.
• ACLS and PALS certifications may be required within 6 months of hire depending on admitting privileges.
• Required certifications and licensures must be maintained in current status throughout employment.
• 3 to 5 years working experience in a clinical setting in a similar role preferred.

SALARY INFORMATION :

$54.00 - $57.70 Dependent on Experience
