Responsibilities
- Manage medical receptionist duties, including greeting and checking in patients
- Enter patient information into the Electronic Medical Record (EMR) system accurately and efficiently
- Verify patient insurance details, ensuring all information is current and correct
- Schedule appointments and follow up with patients to confirm
- Make calls to schedule evaluations and new appointments, including 3-6 month check-ups
- Process patient payments, ensuring all transactions are accurate and timely
- Utilize phone and software systems for various general office duties
- Maintain the cleanliness and organization of the workspace
- Assist in clinical trial operations and dialysis procedures as needed
- Execute billing functions in compliance with healthcare regulations.
- At least 1 year of experience in a similar role
- Proficiency in Banner Ads, Blood Glucose, Cerner Technologies, Dentrix Dental Software, and EHR System
- Familiarity with Billing Functions, Clinical Trial Operations, Dialysis, HealthCare.gov, and Insurance
- Experience with EMR (Electronic Medical Records) and Scheduling
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple tasks
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Demonstrated problem-solving and decision-making abilities
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and procedures
- High level of professionalism and ethical standards
- Ability to maintain patient confidentiality
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
