Requirements:An Ideal Candidate Should
- Iterate on design decisions through prototyping and user testing.
- Develop comprehensive style guides detailing UI component styling, including colors, fonts, pixel-perfect sizing, cursor changes, etc.
- Craft high-fidelity mockups displaying pixel-perfect page layouts as digital prototypes (using a tool such as Figma or Adobe XD).
- Provide prompt responses to questions from the development team as they arise.
- Generate additional UX artifacts to document user research, design decision, and updates.
- Be equally comfortable working collaboratively within a team and taking initiative to work independently when required.
- Have strong communication skills to interact with the team, end-users, and project stakeholders.
- MUST BE A US CITIZEN.
- MUST have an active Top-Secret clearance.
- Must be able to work on-site (Herndon, VA) 4-5 days a week.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Provide a portfolio demonstrating ability and talent.
- Creative with pixel-perfect attention to detail.
- Familiarity with contemporary UI design patterns.
- Expertise with typography and color theory.
- Proficiency with wireframing and prototyping.
- Understanding of Gestalt principles.
- Experience with User testing and survey methodologies.
- Ability to create and maintain style guides based on target goals.
- Logo design and brand development.
- Fundamental understanding of HTML and CSS.
- Experience with design systems (e.g., Material Design).
- Understanding and experience designing and developing for Accessibility (e.g., Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG), Section 508).
