WORK SHIFT DAY SUMMARY OF DUTIES Installation, management and maintenance of corporate local and wide area data network. Management and maintenance of corporate telecommunications network. During the 90-day period following the employee’s hire, the employee is classified as a new employee; both Merit and the employee should use this period to evaluate the employee’s skills, qualifications, and fit for the position. Installs and maintains local and wide area network hardware, including file servers, cabling infrastructure, routers/hubs/switches/modems, and printers. 2. Installs and maintains network software. 3. Maintains security on network systems. 4. Maintains corporate data backup systems and file restorations. 5. Create and manage NTFS files security and groups. 6. Troubleshoots complex hardware and telecommunication related issues. 7. Monitors and documents/reports systems activity. 8. Define, implement, and maintain an overall systems backup and recovery strategy. 9. Define, implement, and maintain a disaster recovery program for non data systems. 10. Maintains and implements network management tools. 11. Evaluate Voice and Data products. 12. Make recommendations on upgrading or installing new products. 13. Performs other duties and tasks as required.
