Who We Want :

The Human Resources and Training Coordinator plays an important role in ensuring Challenge Manufacturing hires, onboards, trains, and retains team members.

They ensure team members are prepared to work safely, deliver quality parts and understand our company policies and procedures.

They partner and communicate with Human Resources, Learning & Development and Plant management to identify hiring needs, training needs, and mitigate employee concerns to ensure the employee lifecycle meets all company standards.

What You'll Do :

  • Maintains all applicant documentation as dictated by governing agencies and company procedures via applicant tracking system (Greenhouse).
  • Monitors tardy and absenteeism reports and ensures proper documentation is issued to employees who have excessive tardiness or absenteeism problems.
  • Assists HR Manager with employee engagement and recognition programs (i.e. attendance and referral bonus, monthly activities).
  • Provide direction, train and coach employees to develop skills.
  • Conduct New Hire Training, including ensuring each team member has an active identification badge using Alpha Card and C-Cure systems.
  • Schedule and conduct motorized equipment permit and Authorized Lockout Tagout classroom training and testing; coordinate with certified trainers for operational evaluations.
  • Schedule and conduct annual employee refresher training.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date training records including, but are not limited to, Skills Matrix, New Hire Training, Common Core Observation Checklists, and classroom training for motorized equipment and safety.

When and Where :

This will be a1st Shift 7 : 30 AM - 5 : 00 PM M-F position located at our Plant in Richmond, KY.

What You Need to Have :

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field
  • Two years manufacturing experience in training or human resources
  • Two years of instructional or formal training experience
  • Five years manufacturing experience preferred in training or human resources
  • Five years of instructional or formal training experience preferred
  • Demonstrated expertise in key HR disciplines including the area of; Attraction & Retention, Alignment and Performance Management, Compensation & Benefits and Training & Development.
  • Has high standards of performance for self. Takes responsibility for actions, results, and mistakes. Is thorough, accurate, and reliable when performing and completing job tasks;

demonstrates honesty and integrity in all aspects of work.

Takes positive action to objectively resolve conflict by listening, staying focused on issue to find resolution, and monitoring progress.

Maintains positive relationships by constructively resolving conflicts.

  • Uses feedback from others to continuously improve performance and work relationships.
  • Moves within own and / or other work areas (flexes) to support plant flow. Works with sense of urgency to meet needs of customers.
  • Has necessary experience, skills, and knowledge to perform all aspects of job; rotates through all job responsibilities.
