Procurement Specialist II
The Office of Administrative Services team is seeking an individual to administer the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code and regulations for the agency and manage purchasing processes.
Responsibilities of the Procurement Specialist II:
  • Perform complex procurement duties for central state purchasing. To include managing solicitation of Request for Quote processes of goods/services, commercial off-the-shelf products (COTS), task order contracting, and minor construction. Retain documentation. Track activity and status of requests.
  • Create Purchase Orders in accordance with the South Carolina Consolidated Procurement Code, applicable regulations and policies/procedures.
  • Assist with quarterly reporting requirements including State Fiscal Accountability Authority - Division of Procurement Services and Minority Business Utilization plan and progress reports.
  • Provide input with policies and procedures and potential training opportunities.
  • Manage the procurement error report and assist users in clearing blocked invoices.
A high school diploma and work experience that is directly related to the area of employment. A bachelor's degree may be substituted for required work experience.
Additional Requirements: 
Coordinate routine and complex service procurement functions. Prepare routine and complex reports. Ability to communicate effectively. Ability to provide guidance and direction to end-users relating to the South Carolina procurement process. Ability to prioritize tasks and manage routine, urgent, and emergency in a timely and satisfactory manner. Knowledge of current funding sources. Knowledge of the quality of materials being purchased.
