Job Details
- Database Management: Oversee the creation, maintenance, upgrade, patching, tuning, backup, and recovery of various MS SQL Databases.
- Capacity Planning: Plan and manage the capacity of database management systems.
- Standards and Procedures: Define and enforce standards and procedures related to database management systems.
- Performance Tuning and Optimization: work with development teams to identify performance bottlenecks.
- Technical Documentation: Maintain detailed technical documentation.
- Database Strategy: Lead efforts to define database strategy, architecture, standards, and procedures.
- Troubleshooting: Troubleshoot database issues and implement corrective measures as needed.
- Application Support: Support application development projects by establishing database-related standards and procedures.
- Education: A relevant degree such as a Bachelor s or Master s Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Certifications: Relevant certifications such as AWS, DBA, DB2, ITIL, or MCSE.
- At least five years of experience as a development DBA, with advanced knowledge of large, multi-terabyte databases in a 24/7 environment.
