DIRECTOR OF NURSING-RN - Greater King County

We want you to join our team if you meet the following requirements:
  • A Bachelor’s degree in Nursing (preferred)
  • 1-2 Years or More of Supervisory Nursing Experience
  • A Registered Nursing license in the State of Washington
  • Excellent critical thinking, communication and leadership skills
  • Knowledge of computers and healthcare software
Overview
As the DON, you are in command of the nursing department. You will work closely with the Administrator to improve the quality of patient care and services provided by your team. In their absence, you will oversee the entire team ensuring quality care and compliance with all federal, state and local rules and regulations, as well as all policies and procedures.
Duties
  • Oversee and assist in training, teaching and monitoring the nursing staff
  • Manage clinical operations and develop care plans
  • Conduct patient rounds and address complaints
  • Monitor nursing staff, nursing activities and patient care
Additional Job Responsibilities
  • Mandatory attendance at morning meeting; daily M-F
  • Help cover when other nurse managers are on vacation
  • Be prepared when state survey occurs
  • Handle employee’s disciplinary actions
  • Audit Med Carts
  • Availability 24/7 or as a back up for staff during emergency situations
  • Review and track trends to present at QAPI
  • Ensure new chart audits are completed
  • Occasionally attend care conferences
  • Accident and Incident compliance
Nurse and CNA education
  • Attend meetings appliable to nursing
  • Assist with TBs for new employees
  • Handle resident concerns
  • Assist with monthly and annual logs
