Job Overview:
We are seeking a dedicated Labor and Delivery Nurse to join our team. The ideal candidate will provide care and support to expectant mothers during the stages of childbirth. This role requires a compassionate individual with excellent clinical skills and a strong commitment to maternal and fetal well-being.
Duties:
- Monitor the mother and baby's vital signs during labor
- Assist with pain management techniques
- Administer medications as prescribed by physicians
- Support and educate mothers on breastfeeding and newborn care
- Collaborate with the healthcare team to ensure a safe delivery process
- Document all aspects of labor and delivery accurately
Requirements:
- Valid RN license and BLS certification
- Previous experience in labor and delivery nursing preferred
- Knowledge of obstetrical procedures and protocols
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
- Understanding of aseptic techniques in the delivery room
