As the Community Navigator, you will play a pivotal role in individuals' lives, making a significant impact through:
- Receive and respond to phone calls, messages, and online referrals from individuals and families in need of assistance, inclusive of referrals from other community service providers
- Completes intakes, initial assessments, referrals and education, advocacy, budgeting, screening, and provides material goods and financial assistance and documents finds disbursed as appropriate
- Assess client needs and assist with negotiating systems to obtain entitlement services as needed to enhance self-sufficiency
- Assists in the promotion of Catholic Charities through the attendance of community events, speaking opportunities, serving on local committees as requested by supervisor
- Completes inventory of material goods monthly and informs supervisor of needed goods including transportation vouchers, gift cards, personal care items, laundry vouchers, etc
Community NavigatorMinimum Salary: $19.00
Community Navigator Maximum Salary: $19.00
Community NavigatorSchedule:25 hours per week; Monday, Wednesday, Friday (we are flexible with this)
Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- With 3-5 years of experience
- Associate's Degree in Human Services or a related field
- With 1-3 years of experience
- Experience working with a diverse population
