We are in search of a diligent Staff Accountant to join our team in Redondo Beach, California. This role is pivotal in maintaining our financial records, including purchases, sales, receipts, and payments. The successful candidate will be tasked with working closely with our accounting team to create and analyze financial reports, ensure legal requirements compliance, process accounts payable and receivable, and manage invoices and tax payments. This role offers a short-term contract employment opportunity.Responsibilities:• Conduct regular ledger maintenance and Balance Sheet Reconciliation.• Prepare and post monthly journal entries.• Prepare financial statements and reports detailing accounts receivable status.• Assist in the preparation of monthly/yearly closings.• Aid in the preparation of the budget or forecast.• Participate in preparation for the annual audit.• Develop periodic reports for management.• Conduct Month End Close procedures efficiently and accurately.• Suggest ways to reduce costs, enhance revenues, and improve profits.• Ensure compliance with GAAP principles.• Document business transactions.
