Description

BASX is seeking a skilled and detail-oriented R&D Technical Assistant to join our team. As an R&D Technical Assistant, you will play a vital role in our research and development efforts by constructing and building testing apparatuses, installing piping systems for testing, configuring and hooking up three-phase electrical power, wiring and installing control sensors, data acquisition modules, and PLCs, and operating testing systems while following testing scripts and procedures.

Responsibilities:

1. Construct and build testing apparatuses according to design specifications and requirements.
2. Install piping systems for testing, ensuring proper connections and functionality.
3. Configure and hook up three-phase electrical power for testing equipment and apparatuses.
4. Wire and install control sensors, data acquisition modules, and PLCs for monitoring and controlling testing processes.
5. Operate testing systems according to established testing scripts and procedures.
6. Collaborate with engineering and manufacturing to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues.
7. Maintain cleanliness and organization of testing areas and equipment.
8. Document and record test results accurately and thoroughly.
9. Assist in the development and improvement of testing methodologies and procedures.
10. Adhere to safety protocols and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment.

Qualifications

Requirements:

1. Proven experience in constructing and building testing apparatuses and installing piping systems.
2. Familiarity with configuring and hooking up three-phase electrical power.
3. Proficiency in wiring and installing control sensors, data acquisition modules, and PLCs.
4. Strong mathematical skills and attention to detail.
5. Ability to operate testing systems and follow testing scripts and procedures effectively.
6. Competency in Microsoft Excel and Word for data recording and documentation.
7. Excellent communication and teamwork skills.
8. Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
9. Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies and methodologies.
