Scope of Duties

At Caring for Family of Companies, we look for people with a nurturing spirit and a genuine desire to support and care for others. In this role, you can expect some or all the following duties:

  • Prepare and analyze financial statements according to GAAP guidelines 
  • Reconcile and ensure the accuracy of general ledger entries 
  • Perform all medical billing functions from invoicing through collections.
  • Verify, allocate, post, and reconcile accounts payable and receivable, including payroll and benefit allocations
  • Assist with monthly, year-end, and external audit activities
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support financial management initiatives 
  • Perform general cost accounting, guide junior team members, and other related duties in the accounting department
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance (CPA certification preferred)
  • In-depth understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP)
  • Experience with benefits, payroll, receivables, collections, taxes, and payables in a management-corporate environment 
  • Experience with general ledger functions and the month-end/year-end close
  • Deep experience with accounting software (with QuickBooks experience preferred as we scale)
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel skills, combined with other skills in technology and electronics
  • Excellent analytical skills with attention to accurate detail under deadlines
  • Excellent collaboration abilities with a team mindset prioritizing interpersonal communication, discretion, and exceptional judgment 
  • Sense of warmth, welcome, and professionalism
