The Optical Assistant works as part of a team in assisting with such activities as office related functions, and performs a variety of clerical and patient services such as record keeping, answering phone calls to assist patients with optical needs such as ordering contacts, calling patient for order pick up , also assist with filling files , patient scheduling for contact fittings and assisting the Optician and or Optical Manager with special projects. Performs Prioritized work in a multi-tasking manner related to Optical services, vision insurance eligibility processing, preparation of charge TIC sheets, writing up job orders and coordination with other departments staff to ensure timely and accurate completion of patient care.

California Residents Only: The hourly range for this role is $16.00 to $28.27 per hour. Pay is based on several factors including but not limited to local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. UnitedHealth Group complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable.
