Job Description:

As an Industrial Equipment Painter, you will be responsible for applying high-quality paint finishes to industrial equipment and machinery. Your attention to detail and expertise in surface preparation and painting techniques will contribute to the overall quality and durability of our products.

Key Responsibilities:

Surface Preparation:

• Inspect industrial equipment for imperfections, rust, and surface irregularities.

• Perform cleaning, sanding, and grinding of surfaces to ensure proper adhesion of paint.

• Apply primers and sealers as needed to prepare surfaces for painting.

Paint Application:

• Mix and match paint colors to achieve the desired finish.

• Operate spray guns, brushes, or other painting equipment to apply paint evenly and consistently.

• Ensure that paint coats are applied in accordance with specifications and quality standards.

Quality Control:

• Inspect painted equipment for uniformity, coverage, and finish quality.

• Touch up or rework areas with imperfections, runs, or other issues.

• Conduct final inspections to verify that the paint finish meets quality standards.

Maintenance and Cleanup:

• Clean and maintain painting equipment, including spray guns, filters, and paint booths.

• Dispose of paint waste and solvent materials in compliance with environmental regulations.

Safety and Compliance:

• Adhere to safety protocols and use personal protective equipment to minimize exposure to chemicals and fumes.

• Follow all relevant safety regulations and maintain a safe working environment.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent.

• Proven experience as an industrial equipment painter in a manufacturing or production setting.

• Proficiency in surface preparation techniques, paint mixing, and application methods.

• Strong attention to detail and a commitment to producing high-quality work.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Knowledge of safety and environmental regulations related to painting.

• Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy equipment and materials.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $26.00 per hour
