An exciting opportunity awaits a skilled accountant to join our dynamic finance team at Altorfer Inc. As an Assistant Controller, you'll play a pivotal role in supporting the Controller with various financial tasks.

• Assist in month-end close procedures, including accruals, depreciation, and inventory adjustments
• Perform bank reconciliations and resolve any discrepancies
• Prepare and file state sales tax returns for multiple states
• Prepare general journal entries and maintain supporting documentation
• Maintain fixed asset schedules
• Analyze financial data and provide recommendations for improvement
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards, policies, and regulations
• Support outside auditors and tax accountants and prepare requested workpapers
• Collaborate with other departments and provide accounting guidance
• Bachelor's degree in accounting or finance
• CPA certification is required
• At least 3 years of experience in accounting or auditing
• Fluency in Microsoft Excel and other accounting software
• Strong knowledge of GAAP and state sales tax laws
• Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
• Attention to detail and accuracy
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks

This position works in an office environment. May, on a continuous basis, sit at desk for a long period of time; intermittently answer telephone and write or use a keyboard to communicate through written means. Some walking and lifting up to 20 lbs. may be required. There may be times when you may need to go out into the service shop or warehouse area and will be required to wear appropriate safety equipment (IE- Safety glasses or side shields).
