Role: Mechanical Drafter/Designer

Duration: 12 months Contract with possible extension

Location: Rapid City- South Dakota – Onsite Role

Business Objective or Problem to be solved:

• 2 years of prior relevant experience
• Prior mechanical drafting experience (preferably for equipment based mechanical components)
• Previous experience with 3D parametric drafting/modeling software’s (PTC Creo-preferred, Solidworks, Autodesk Inventor)
• Proficiency in application of Geometric Dimensioning and tolerancing on drawings (specifically related to ASME Y14.5 standards)
• Previous hands-on experience in the following areas is beneficial, but not a requirement
• welding/fabrication
• Machining
• Manufacturing/assembly
• Automotive or machinery mechanical experience (maintenance and/or troubleshooting)

Daily responsibilities:

Hands on Mechanical Detailer Experience. This person could be a mechanic that is looking to expand a career and get out of a body shop or military veteran that has worked on vehicles for the military. This person does not need a bachelor’s would like to see at least AA degree.

Top three required technical skills:

1. Hands on Mechanical Detailer Experience (Heavy Machinery)

2. Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing

3 CREO version 7 and Parametric Modeling Software experience

Skills that that are nice to have:

1. SolidWorks or Inventor in replace of CREO

3 ASME Y14.5 Standards

Compensation:

This is the base hourly pay range that Aditi Consulting reasonably expects to pay someone for this position $18- $20/hr. (compensation may vary outside of this range depending on a number of factors, including but not limited to, a candidate’s qualifications, skills, competencies, experience, location and end client requirements).
