Site Superintendent: Commercial Building & Remodeling Projects

The Superintendent for Rangel Construction Company is a critical position for the success of all projects, serving as the lead onsite representative of our company. As such, the Superintendent is viewed as one of the most skilled tradesmen and experienced leaders in the company.

Experience & Qualification Requirements:

- 10 years minimum commercial construction experience

- Master tradesmen in at least one division of work (i.e. carpentry, concrete, etc.)

- 2 years minimum leadership experience with crew size of 3 or greater

- Upstanding personal character: clean driving record, clean criminal record, etc.

- Proficiency with the use of modern technology (i-pad, smart phone, email, project management software)

Primary Duties:

- Jobsite Management: organization, staging, barricades, etc.

- Construction Process Management: sequencing, equipment, manpower, platforms, etc.

- Jobsite Efficiency: master schedule implementation, daily/weekly goals, production, etc.

- Self-performed Work Crew Leadership

- Quality Control

- Jobsite Information Management: daily logs, progress photos, RFIs, etc.

- Safety Enforcement

Working Hours:

- Jobsite working hours are typically 7:00 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Days of work will always be five days, Monday thru Friday. Off-hour and weekend work may at times be required considering weather limitations and/or conditions mandated by the project/client. The Superintendent will certainly need to work hours outside the jobsite hours in order to efficiently deliver the project.

Work Area:

- In general, Rangel Construction Company pursues projects in the Black Hills area. Occasionally projects will be performed outside of that area. When long term travel/stationing is required, the Superintendent will be notified and consulted prior to his acceptance of the assignment.

Training/Education Requirements:

- High School Diploma or equivalent

- OSHA 30 & First Aid/CPR (training can be provided)

- Leadership training (desired, but not required)

Pay & Benefits

- Hourly Pay Rate: $35-45/hr

- Full-time work guarantee & company work truck
