Ranger College is Hiring an Assistant Coach- Baseball Near Ranger, TX
POSITION TITLE: Assistant Coach-Baseball
START DATE: Open Until Filled
CAMPUS/DEPARTMENT: Ranger College/Athletics
GENERAL STATEMENT OF DUTIES: Assist Head Coach with all aspects of coaching and help to manage the Ranger College Baseball Program. Help recruit an assigned number of student athletes. Participate in academic advising and registration. Assist with divisional duties including but not limited to program planning, budgeting, scheduling, and facility maintenance. Other duties as may be assigned.
QUALIFICATIONS:
• Bachelor’s degree required
• Pitching Coach preferred; Baseball coaching experience at community college level or higher, preferred
• Help in recruitment of highly skilled baseball student athletes
• Understand student athletes welfare
• Maintain discipline and adherence to Ranger College policies and procedures
SKILLS AND ABILITIES:
• Excellent oral/written communication skills
• Strong organizational skills required
• Able to work in a fast-paced, busy student-oriented setting
• Self-motivated and able to work independently and under pressure
• Able to initiate and complete tasks within demanding time limits
ANNUAL SALARY/BENEFITS: Highly competitive and commensurate with experience and credentials. Group health and life insurance (60 day waiting period for health) and retirement benefits (TRS or ORP). Optional benefits include disability and dental insurance.
