Heart’s Cry Overview:

Heart’s Cry Children’s Ministry is located in Panamá with its US base in Raleigh, NC. It has two primary service providers, Casa Providencia and Family Services. Please see this short video for an overview: https://vimeo.com/290726477.

1. Casa Providencia is Panama's first temporary home and therapy center for special-needs orphans. This facility offers the best therapy, nutrition, education, vocational training, and medical attention available, while it works to find adopting families for each of its special needs orphans.

2. Family Services is an in-country adoption agency offering legal counsel, psychological assessments, social services, and educational training throughout the entire adoption or foster care process for Panamanians at no charge. Family Services works with the Panamanian government creating policies and procedures to improve the country's adoption and foster care programs.

Heart’s Cry was founded by Misty and Matt Hedspeth. Initially, they worked with the government to rewrite the adoption laws in the country of Panamá and then built an orphanage for special needs children. The impact that Heart’s Cry has made in only 13 years is astounding. Its potential is even bigger.

The immediate goal at Casa Providencia is to add staff and resources to accommodate additional children and services within the existing facility and framework. The beautiful building was renovated exclusively to serve as an orphanage for these precious children and provides a wonderful transitional home for up to 55. The staff is exceptional and give the children excellent nutrition, growth, safety, and lots of love! Casa Providencia can add children as it receives additional funding, and it currently hosts 25 children with room for an additional 30.
