Responsibilities

Duties: The Senior Software Engineer at CNH Industrial America LLC in Racine, WI will be a member of the Precision Technology team and deliver innovative solutions for vehicle displays, application controls, steering solutions, digital services and telematics, and fully autonomous driverless technology. The duties include researching, writing, developing, testing, and evaluating software programs using C and Java and embedded systems development. Working with teams to facilitate deployment related to software programs using APIs to connect Android or Linux applications to back-end services. Determining purpose, application, and feasibility of new or enhancement of existing software. Performing software unit testing and integration testing using automated frameworks. Creating and updating documentation for designs and all phases of the project. Managing multiple source code repositories including change management. Working with external customers to troubleshoot and solve problems. Coordinating engineering efforts and providing engineering assistance to internal teams or external customers. Keeping abreast of new developments in the fields of engineering design, methods, and applications. Assisting with quote or request for quote process. Learning, understanding, continuously improving, and promoting the quality management system in accordance with ISO standards. Position is 100% remote. Salary: $113,250 – $166,100/year.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements: Requires a Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Computer Science, or related field, plus 2 years of experience as a Software Engineer, Software Developer, or related occupation. The 2 years of experience must include 2 years of experience with each of the following: 1) C or Java; 2) ISO standards; 3) researching, writing, and developing software programs; 4) maintaining, testing, and enhancing code for software programs; 5) Linux operating system; and 6) creating and updating documents for designs.
