Robert Half is in search for an Assistant Controller to work hybrid in Rohnert Park, California.Manage a team representing the company's Corporate Accounting functions including but not limited to: Ensure Compliance with relevant accounting standards (GAAP) and regulatory requirements.Oversee the preparation of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsPrepare monthly closing package including analytics and variance analysis.Foster a collaborative and high-performance work environment.Facilitate regular communications and team meetings with established agendasProvides vision, leadership and guidance to direct reports and departmental staff; coaches and mentors direct reports to ensure an energized, motivating work environmentSupervise and mentor a team of accounting professionalsMaintain the integrity of the general ledger and subsidiary ledgersReview and approve journal entries and account reconciliationsCoordinate and facilitate the annual audit processPrepare audit schedules and ensure timely completion of audit requirements.Prepare special reports or account analysis as requested by management on an ad hoc basis.Collaborate with Finance team members and cross functional teams to provide data and assist in development of the annual budget Implement best practices in accounting and financial operations.Develop, implement, monitor, and test key internal control proceduresEnsure compliance with company policies and proceduresWork closely with tax professionals to ensure timely and accurate tax filingsStay updated on changes in tax regulations impacting the organizationCollaborate with other departments to address financial inquiries and provide support.Participate in cross-functional projects as a finance representative
