Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Construction Estimator with Metal and Glass experience to join our team. The Estimator will play a crucial role in our construction projects by providing accurate cost estimates and ensuring projects are financially feasible.
Duties:
- Analyze project specifications and drawings to prepare accurate cost estimates
- Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and architects to understand project requirements
- Negotiate with suppliers and subcontractors to obtain competitive pricing
- Monitor project costs throughout the construction phase to ensure adherence to budget
- Prepare and submit bids and proposals for construction projects
- Maintain records of estimates, contracts, and costs for future reference
Skills:
- Advanced knowledge in construction estimating software and Microsoft programs
- Strong knowledge of construction management principles
- A background in the Metal and Glass industry a plus
- Ability to control costs and maximize profitability
- Experience in negotiating contracts with suppliers and subcontractors
- Solid understanding of construction processes and materials
- Strong analytical and mathematical skills
- Detail-oriented with excellent organizational abilities
