Under the direction of the Safety Manager the EHS Technician will lead and direct the Environmental, Health, and Safety activities for Delta Fabrication in various locations. The Safety Technician will ensure employees working onsite are aware of, observe, and comply with Delta Health & Safety Programs and safe work plans, permits, industry standards, client and project specific requirements, and applicable laws for environmental remediation and industrial construction. PRIMARY JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

· The Health and Safety Technician is responsible for implementing and maintaining regulatory requirements relating to OSHA.

· Evaluates operations and projects to ensure and improve compliance with safety and health requirements to ensure hazards are identified and corrected.

· Assist in implementing a companywide Lockout Tagout Program.

· Develop and implement Job Hazard Analysis for all job functions.

· Ensure all waste is properly stored.

· Maintain Safety Data Sheets and chemical inventory.

· Conduct site safety training / orientations.

· Identify safety issues and successfully resolve using effective communication and positive reinforcement.

· Join and assist in leading safety committee.

· Conduct incident investigations.

· Work closely with the Construction Managers, Superintendents, subcontractors, and project teams to promote safety, ensure safe work practices, and assist with the maintenance of all required work permits.

· Other duties as assigned.
