Tax/Accounting Professional
A Senior Tax Professional at our firm leads by example, offering mentorship and managing projects with a high degree of independence, leveraging their expertise. They play a crucial role in business development by maintaining strong client relationships, driving new business, and fostering innovation to enhance service delivery. Their impact is felt through leadership that promotes a culture of excellence, contributing significantly to the firm’s reputation, client satisfaction, and overall growth.
We are only accepting candidates who are currently a licensed CPA or EA.
Responsibilities for Tax/Accounting Professional include, but are not limited to:
- Preparing federal, state and local tax returns, extensions, and projections for various clients (C-Corp, S-Corp, Partnership, Individual, Trust)
- Review tax and accounting work of staff and interns and provide feedback, training, and mentoring
- Review information supplied by the client and obtain open items
- Assist with the coordination of the day-to-day duties of planning, tax work, and wrap-up
- Perform research to resolve issues
- Identify and communicate tax matters to Managers and Partners
- Build relationships with clients and staff
Flexible Hours & Remote Work Possibility:
Initial Period (First 6 Months): The successful candidate is required to work from our office full time. This will allow for comprehensive training, team integration, and a deep understanding of our processes and culture.
After 6 Months: Depending on performance and adaptability to our work culture, the option for flexible hours and remote work will be evaluated, potentially permitting a set amount of days for remote work per week.
The ideal candidate would have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting; Masters in Taxation a plus
- 3-5 years of professional experience
- CPA or EA is required
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Responsive to clients
- Must have excellent client service skills
- Highly motivated
- Outstanding analytical, organizational, and project management skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Applications
-Experience with UltraTax CS is preferred.
