Description:

This position is with Toyota North America Engineering & Manufacturing (TEMA) and will be supporting the paint department at TMMI. Due to the announcement of adding an electric vehcile for the facility TMMI is having to expand their current manufacturing lines. This involves new equipment, installation, commissioning, etc in order to meet early 2026 production goals. The current Paint Seibi team has 3 immediate openings. They will support remodel projects for both new and existing lines within the paint department. The job responsibilities are as follows:The candidates in this role will be responsible for programming, maintaining, installing the robotic paint equipment at Toyota. The primary robotics utilized are Kawasaki and Fanuc. 80% of their time now is spent on field activity with 20% offline programming. A lot of the new activity is tied to the model adds of the two electric vehicles and other remodels coming at the plant. The field activity includes running paint quality trials (Film builds, color, and wave scan), adjust the paint gun on/off timings, UBC, Sealer, and dampening coat quality trial and adjustments (Film thickness, coverage, and mass). The offline programming consist of them putting together programs for the robots that can be uploaded into the equipment later on for manufacturing processes. For the next 12 months this position will primarily be in Indiana. Past the first 12 months it is likely this role will have 40-50% travel at times to Texas and Mississippi. As the candidate becomes more proficient at Offline Programming the more they will be allowed to work from the Indiana plant. The manager will be flexible to both bachelor and associates degree.
