Director of Nursing

Portsmouth Health and Rehab, a 120-bed skilled nursing and rehabilitation center located in Portsmouth, VA, is recruiting for an experienced and highly motivated Registered Nurse (RN) to serve as its Director of Nursing (DON) and lead the provision of clinical services at the facility.

The ideal candidate will have strong nursing leadership experience in the skilled nursing/long-term care setting. At least two years of experience as an Assistant Director of Nursing Services (ADON) or one year experience as a Director of Nursing (DON) is required.

POSITION HIGHLIGHTS AND REQUIREMENTS:

The Director of Nursing (DON) directs the overall delivery of Clinical Services to ensure quality resident care in accordance with all laws, regulations, and Company standards. The DON reports to Facility Administrator.

The DON Position requires:

• Valid RN license in the state of Virginia
• Knowledge of local, state and federal regulations pertaining to facility functions.
• Knowledge of accreditation standards and compliance requirements.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

Pay: $95,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
