Greater Portland Health is Hiring a Call Center Supervisor Near South Portland, ME

Are you a highly motivated team player? Do you thrive in a busy environment? The Call Center Supervisor oversees the day-to-day operations of the Call Center and its employees. The Supervisor hires and trains CSRs who are responsible for answering phone calls in a patient-focused manner to assure exceptional care and patient access and is also directly part of the PSCR team. The Supervisor must represent Greater Portland Health (GPH) with the highest standard of customer service and compassion, and perform all duties in a manner consistent with our mission, values, and customer service standards. The Call Center is the most important initial point of contact for patients and external providers calling into GPH.

  • High School diploma or GED equivalent required.
  • Level 3 English required.
  • Bachelors’ degree in communication, business management, or related field preferred.
  • Several years’ experience in customer service or personnel management.
  • Proven experience leading a team in a fast paced, high volume, and fluid healthcare call center environment.
  • Knowledge of applicable office procedures and terminology.
  • Knowledge of Medicare, Medicaid, managed care, HMOs, and private insurance.
  • Knowledge of customer service principles and techniques.
  • Bilingual /multilingual in French, Spanish, Arabic, Swahili, or other major languages a strong plus.
